1) Take a passport photo at the studio and request for a hardcopy and a softcopy in .jpeg format. Asked the photographer resize your passport photo into 396 x 532 with maximum 25kb. (This is the requirement posted)

Your passport photo must be taken within 3 months before the date of application. Make sure you meet the photo requirements as follow…

2) Goto http://www.imi.gov.my or you can google for “Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia

3) Read through the “Term and Conditions” and scroll to the end of it, and click on “Agree” button. It will take you to next screen. Choose your passport renewal application category. Fill in your passport no. & Identity no. the click on “Search” button. Passport type and category field will come out automatically once your info matched.
4) You will then be taken to the next screen with a square box on top where you need to upload your passport photo and all your details automatically filled.
(点击“Upload Image”按钮。上传你的护照照片。如果您的照片格式被接受，您将得到一个“Crop”选项. 您必须至少点击“Crop”按钮一次，“finish” 的按钮才会显示。)
6) Next screen with a passport photo example will prompt up and you have to tick on every required field before you can proceed. Caution: To violate photo provided specifications will result in your application will be rejected.

7) Choose whether you would like to renew for 2 years (RM100) or 5 Years (RM300). Note : with effective from 2013, senior citizens & children 12 age and below -> 2 years (RM80) or 5 Years (RM150)
选择更新2年（RM100）或5年（RM300）。注:2013年1月起生效 - 乐龄人士及12岁以下的儿童. 5年护照更新费从RM300减少到RM150. 2年期护照从RM100减少到RM80。
8) You are also required to fill in your phone number whereas email address is optional. Select the collection branch. I choose Presint 14 Putrajaya. Please note that not all branch listed in. Initially I want to choose Puchong Utama branch but can’t find in list. Hopefully, the immigration of Malaysia Singapore

9) Verify your details once more and select payment type. FPX mode of payment is currently unavailable due to maintenance work. You can use Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard) for payment.
再次确认您的资料，并选择付款类型。 FPX付款方式是目前无法使用。您可以使用信用卡（Visa或MasterCard）付款。
10) You will be navigated to Applicant Information window once your payment transaction is SUCCESSFUL. Click on “Print Receipt” to print out your receipt, you need it for collection.
付款交易成功后。点击“Print Receipt”，打印出收据。
11) This is how my receipt looks like. Applicant has to be present at the selected Collection Immigration Branch Office with the necessary document (IC/old passport/Payment Receipt) to re-scan fingerprints for purpose of ePassport Extended Access Control (EAC). Production of passport will only be proceeding after the fingerprint re-scan.
I presented at PRESINT 14 PUTRAJAYA passport collection counter with my payment receipt. (no need to take queue number). The officer took around 5 minutes to look for my passport and ask me proceed to counter 1.
My application was pending due to my uploaded photo image look blur in their system. She request for a hardcopy of my passport photo. My passport was ready to collect in 30 minutes. If your application have no error, you can collect the passport in between 5 minutes.
直接到Collection Counter 示出您的付款收据（无需领取号码）。Officer 大约花了5分钟，找到我的申请，因我上传的照片看起来模糊而无法完成申请。Officer 当场扫描我带去的护照照片。30分钟后我成功的拿到新的护照了。如果您上传的照片没有错误，大概5分钟您就可以领到新护照了。
